YSL TOUCHE ÉCLAT & FAUX CILS MASCARA

YSL is such a luxury beauty brand and the quality of their products is beautiful. The Touché Éclat highlighting pen is definitely a cult product in the beauty world, it's been around since 1991 and over time the line has gone from only 2 shades to 8 shades so there is a match for everyone. They have also become famous from their mascaras and the Faux Cils formula has been on our list to try for quite some time.

TOUCHÉ ÉCLAT
As one of the most famous YSL products it has had a large hype around it and in our opinion it doesn't quite live up to it. It is beautiful - don't get us wrong - but it is more for those who don't need a lot of coverage. This offers light coverage and adds slight radiance where applied. One major positive to using this concealer is it has a beautiful finish as it doesn't cake up or look visible when blended into the skin. The issue we have with the Touché Éclat pen is that on its own it just doesn't have enough pigmentation - our favourite way to use this product is on top of another under the eyes and then down the bridge of the nose, tops of the cheeks and the Cupid's bow to add a little glow.

FAUX CILS MASCARA
This is a gorgeous mascara that gives pretty fluttery long lashes but without any clumps. The brush is a round bristley brush which works really well to fan out the lashes and separate them from each other perfectly. The formula is quite thick and so it doesn't easily transfer onto the skin - if you like more wet formulas we wouldn't recommend trying this. However if you do have oily skin and your mascara tends to smudge under your eyes or on your brow bone towards the end of the day, then this product may not be perfect in the regular formula - perhaps try the waterproof version.

We managed to pick these up at an amazing price in a set also with a YSL skincare item during the Boxing Day sales. If you are wanting to try out a few products from a brand, we definitely recommend waiting until the sales to get a great deal!
